Forget his name and face

Forget his name and face,
forget his kiss and warm embrace.
Forget the things he used to say,
remember now he's gone away.
Forget the times that went so fast,
forget his love which now has past.
Forget the things he used to do,
remember now he loves her too.
Forget the love that you once shared,
forget the fact that he once cared.
Forget the way he said your name,
remember now things are not the same.
Forget the talks that you once had,
forget the thought; it makes you sad.
Forget that you said you would wait,
remember now his love is hate.
Forget him when they play your song,
forget you cried the whole night long.
Forget he said he'll leave you never,
remember now he's gone forever

There are multiple versions of this poem all over and it is like Joy said above over 30 some years old. It has many different versions. So I highly doubt the one above that said they wrote it at the age of 13 who is now 30 is really telling the truth. I remember that poem from when I was in high school and I am 36.

I am 51 and read that in Teen or 17 with I was 13 so I doubt the 30 year old wrote it. Wow.

Forget his name, forget his face, forget his kiss his warm embrace. Forget the love that once was true remember now there’s someone new
Forget the love you two once shared, forget the fact that he once cared forget the time you spent together, remember he’s gone forever
Forget you cried all night long forget him when they play your song. Forget how close you once were remember now he’s chosen her.
Forget you memorized his walk, forget the way he use to talk. Forget the times he was mad, remover now he’s happy not sad.
Forget the times you talked on the phone, forget the times you were alone. Forget he made your dreams come true, remember now there’s someone new.
Forget his teasing way, forget you saw him everyday. Forget the plans to planned to do, remember now she loves him too.
Forget the thrill when he walked by, forget the times he made you cry. Forget the way he spoke your name, remover now things aren’t the same.
Forget the way he held your hand, forget the times you walked in the sand. Forget the way he loved you too, remember now there’s someone new.
Forget the times that went so fast, forget it all, they’re in the past. Forget he said “I’ll leave you never..” remover now he’s gone forever.

I read this poem in the mid-70's and loved it so much, I wrote it down on some special paper and hung it on my bedroom wall. I still have it. I'm 66 now so its been around a long time.
